Roque was not always a celebrity hair stylist to iconic stars like Mariah Carey, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hilary Duff and Camilla Belle. He was once a Cuban refugee, immigrating to the United States with his family for the promise of a better life. Roque’s mother, a strong, beautiful woman with a flair for fashion has always nurtured his drive and creativity. She and his two sisters became his muses as a child. Out of his love and respect for the women in his life, grew Roque’s passion for beautifying them. Pursuing his talent for hairdressing, Roque moved to New York City where his skills were honed and
perfected by another Cuban-born hairstylist, the legendary Oribe. It was not long before Roque was working the runways of New York, Milan, Paris, and London with supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Heidi Klum. Roque also works hard at an editorial career, his talent frequently gracing the pages and covers of the biggest and best in the industry – Vogue, Elle, W, Marie Claire and Vanity Fair to name a few. Now highly sought after as a hairstylist to the stars, Roque continues to beautify the world, one person at a time.
